Private Label Bags Buyer Checklist
A strong private-label inquiry connects the product specification to the brand system and target market. Preparing these details early reduces unclear assumptions and makes sample review more useful.
Define the product and its target market
State who will use the bag, where it will be sold and what the buyer should notice first. Include the destination market because labeling, language, size preferences and packaging expectations may differ.
Choose the closest product category and provide references. Mark which elements are essential to your brand and which can follow an existing factory model.
- Target customer and use case
- Destination market and sales channel
- Product category and reference style
- Required dimensions and compartment structure
- Expected price position without assuming a final quote
Prepare a usable product specification
List the finished dimensions, material requirements, color direction, internal structure and functional details. If an existing bag is the reference, photograph the front, back, sides, base, interior and important construction points.
Use one version-controlled document or consolidated brief. Conflicting instructions in separate messages create avoidable uncertainty during sampling.
- Finished dimensions and measurement order
- Outer material, lining, padding and accessories
- Pocket map and closure details
- Color references by component
- Model and color quantity estimate
Organize logos, labels and packaging
Provide vector logo artwork when available and identify the intended production method, size and placement. If the visual result is not yet decided, share examples and ask which methods suit the selected material.
List every brand component separately: main logo, woven or printed label, care or composition label, hangtag, barcode sticker and packaging artwork. Confirm which party supplies final print-ready files.
- Logo artwork, dimensions, placement and color
- Brand label and required label text
- Hangtag and barcode information
- Individual packaging and outer carton marks
- Language versions needed for the target market
State quantity and approval responsibilities
Provide the estimated total quantity and a model/color breakdown. DARLING BAG's custom MOQ is 300 pieces. If you are selecting existing products instead, the in-stock MOQ is 5 pieces per color, subject to model availability confirmed during the inquiry.
Name the person responsible for approving the product sample, branding artwork and packaging. Keep the approved reference and written corrections together so production and QC can use the same information.
- Estimated total and per-color quantities
- Customization or in-stock sourcing route
- Sample and artwork approver
- Consolidated correction record
- Final specification used for production and QC
